I saw the Queen

Today is a big day for Milton Keynes, the Queen has come to visit again.  She’s opening (or opened by now) ‘The Hub’ or as most people will know it - the place where the scaffolding fell down. (oh and the stadium)

So after being given express permission from my manager, we went down to see her arrive, thinking there would be loads of people and we wouildn’t see much.

Was I wrong, we were right on the front and there was no-one in front of us, and as the car was coming to a stop it was going relatively slowly.  The royal wave was on show, and she was wearing a nice bright colour.  The Duke of edingburugh was smiling too.

Soo that’s my excitement for the week.  Back to those darned invoices that won’t match.

The sheep are back in town

It always makes me smile to see sheep on my way to work, and not just because I think sheep are cute and fluffy, also because I live in a town, and work in that same town.  I think it’s excellent that the council are using their noggins and letting sheep graze in the parklands.

I’m sure they are gewtting some rent for it, the farmer gets somewhere safe for his sheep to graze, and the public get a bit of countryside in the city.  Winners all round.

 And people say it’s famous for cows . . . .

IT’s SNOWING

Yep,

There is white stuff falling from the sky and i’m bouncing up and down

Ohh I’ll start singing christmas carols by the end of the week

—–UPDATE —–

Yeah, James and I had a mini snowball fight as well.  How cool??

Women Drivers

What??  Well ok it was one woman driver and careful is not the word.  Trying to park at 7:30 this morning, I sat patiently waiting for the car in front of me to reverse park.  Now I understand not everyone can do it in one go and I do occasionally have to re-adjust, but this woman.

She started reversing, had a really nice line, stopped 1/4 of the way in, pulled forward; started again and again had a nice line that she could have gone straight in, but no she pulled forward again; started to reverse again and guess what, she decided that although it was nearly a straight line back at this point she pulled forward again to reverse back in.  HELLO?? Is that really necessary?

I managed to drive past her, reverse park in one go and get out of the car quicker than her and mine was still as straight as hers.

Now this can’t just be women drivers? There must be men out there just as bad as well right? And I’m not saying all women drivers are like that – I know they’re not cos I’m not.

Hmm Rant over
