I got wet

For most people the bank holiday weekend was full of horrible weather, for me it wasn’t horrible weather, I actually enjoyed it.  Saturday saw me getting rather wet – but not from the rain, from the sea. I finally went windsurfing, after months of distractions I made a little time.  And even better I got exactly the right equipment from the hire place, not being for ages I wasn’t entirely sure what I needed, but they gave me a 160 board and a 5m sail.

As it turned out this was just right, the board was wobbly, but not so much that I’d fall in, and the sail was big enough for me to get some speed, but not to big I couldn’t haul it up.  I even left the dagger board up for most of it (sorry getting a bit techy but bear with me) meaning less stability but more speed.

And then on Sunday, the shed building was cancelled due to the rain, so instead we had a bit of a laugh painting a lovely pink hallway.  It looks very white now, which I hate to admit, looks better.

So all in all the weather done good for me this weekend.  Maybe we’ll fly that kite next time.

At least they’re over . . .

Well for now at least that is what I’m thinking.  As most of you know I’m doing my CIMA exams, and to be fair they didn’t quite go as planned.  Tuesday’s wasn’t too bad, but you can never tell until you get the results.  Yesterday’s however was another matter.

I should have known it was going to be a bad day when I realised I hadn’t put my fluff in.  I messed up, and this time I know what I did wrong, one simple calculation flustered me in the compulsory section, and then I made a bad choice in the options, but realised too late to go and do another one.

I felt like walking out after half an hour, but I stayed in there, carried on, put assumptions in and did the bits I could, but lets be honest, I have no hope in passing, unless my markers having a good day and doesn’t take much notice.

On the brighter side of things I won’t know how badly I did until late July, so that’s at least 2 months to enjoy the summer and forget about it.  Meanwhile I’ve started walking into work again and am scouring the internet for a good dance mat to help shed the extra chocolate I ate during revision.

Rock on!

Finally it’s here; we have Guitar Hero AND Guitar Hero 2, with two controllers that work. Wooo Hooo. Considering I’m not the biggest computer game fan, I love it. So, apart from studying I know what we’re doing the rest of the weekend!

Yes I know I had two controllers a week ago, but the wireless one wouldn’t get a connection, a quick trip to HMV and a straightforward swap later and we’re off. The only problem is you have to get good to get more songs, so I suppose I better get practising.

Next to get - the dance mat . . .
