Alas poor herbert I knew him once
There once was a snowman on my car,
who wanted to travel very far
He’d sit through the day
To get far away
But he melted and fits in a jar

January is generally the time for making new years resolutions and breaking them, well I did one better and completely forgot to make any in the first place, so in theory I haven’t broken any of them yet (I’m looking on the positive here). Yes there are a million things I’d like to do to improve my life, but let’s be honest it didn’t make a darn bit of difference last year, or the year before, or the year before that. So I’m just gonna have some fun and live my normal everyday life.
This month has been one of complete opposites, A fancy dress Christmas party one week and shopping trips to Ikea the next. I’ve got to say I’m not getting past it quite yet as I had more fun at the party than Ikea, and I’d like to point out we got short listed into the top 10 of entrants (James and I as a couple), though I’m not supposed to advertise that I borrowed the belly dancing belt from a certain relative (no it wasn’t my brother).
One week left to add more randomness to the month, so I think it’s time for a trip to Church Stretton and a chilling religious break. Roll on February, who knows what will happen.
It’s thrusday morning and the snow is falling upwards outside my window, what better time is there to wish everyone all the best for new year.
I had a great christmas season, close family and 5 hammers (pressies from mum) on christmas day, then most of the family boxing day, we managed to fit 14 around our dinner table, with minor squabbling and my gran only threatening to shoot my Uncle once, at which point she produced a water pistol, hmm I suppose i can’t say much, she is related to me!
New year saw James and I head down south to friends, we spent most of the night eating, with a little bit of drinking, though it has to be said the commentary on the tv fireworks were as random as ever and had as giggling.
Still it’s back to work now and time to get on with the year. So here’s to all those resolutions I haven’t even made yet. . . .
