Still going

Ok, so things are just a tad stressfull at the moment, very busy and a million things to do, flying round here and there doesn’t usually make for a good diet plan, and last week I knew it was gonna be a bad one, I’d had chocolate in the week, crisps and being away for the weekend too.

But much to my surprise I still lost a pound, thank you very much, I’ll take that and keep going.  Now if only I could get the housing situation sorted as easy I’d have nothing to do!

Anyhow back to the 2 page to do list for the rest of my lunch time . . .

The right diet

So I had a cooked breakfast, a pub lunch and takeaway Chips and Pie this week and guess what - I still lost a few pounds.

Now I know I’m on the right diet.  Just gotta keep going, my target for Christmas is in sight and achievable when it seemed so far off only a couple of months ago.

A strange thing happened.. . .

I decided to wear some trousers that I haven’t worn for a while as they had got a bit tight, and found a new sensation, instead of feeling squisshed in all day they were to big and I had to keep pulling them up - yay.

I like this new sensation, now to find all those clothes i’d put away for when I lost some weight, otherwise it’s a shopping trip.

Yay

So about a month ago I decided to treat myself to a personal tainer for a month, just 4 session once a week to look at my eating and exercise habits.  Just a few simple changes and I’m well happy, I’ve lost over 1/2 a stone and a couple of inches in the right places, but now I’m on my own and the challenge really begins.

I’m determined to get down to a  ‘healthy’ weight and stay there, and although I don’t have the weekly check up I still plan on weighing myself every week and getting James to measure me occasionally.

I’m spurred on by the past month and keep thinking ‘If I can do that well in a month, I should be down to a good weight by christmas’ so watch out.

Even though it wasn’t cheap, I definatley think it was money well spent, and as it’s put me on the right track, could be worth it’s weight in gold.

Now all I have to do is work out how to plot it on an excel graph in stones and pounds rather than decimal places . . . hmmm I feel a trawl of the internet coming on.

Not a bad start to the year

So what is 2010 gonna bring? Well if the first month is anything to go by it should be another good one. (How do you top a wedding? With a re-location of course)

1) After spending 4 months apart from my new Hubbie I got a contract for 9 month maternity cover doing lots of things I need to bolster my CV hopefully aiding my hunt for permanent roles later in the year.

2) The flat’s been up for sale for less than a month and we’ve had 3 viewings already, so hopefully we’ll get a sale before to long.

So if that’s one month, what’ll happen in the next 11? Permanent job? New House (with mortgage)? A settled life (ok maybe not)?

Here’s to the future . . . .

Now that’s what I call a productive weekend

Went up to the in-laws for the weekend and never one to miss an opportunity thought it’d be a good time to do some shopping and top up my store of suits. First stop Hair dressers, second shop coffee shop!

After a slow start in the first shop I tried on 4 suits and ended up getting 3 of them, so with that out of the way it was time for some shoe shopping! Oh and we got some Christmas decorations and treats for Delilah along the way. Home in time for Tea and Strictly and then a nice relaxing Sunday.

Early night for me ready to tackle the week ahead.

The key to a happy marriage

Buy 2 flat packs so you don’t argue over it! Now I know that sounds ridiculous but we both like doing flat packs and have been known to ‘fight’ over who gets the screwdriver!

So now when buying flat packs we buy two so we can each do one!! I let James do his first, so he gets things wrong and mine is relatively easy!! We now have two nice drawer/filing units for the side of the sofa, so we can put things away rather than just dump them.

Not sure how we’ll do it when we get something we only need one of.

Darn it, and there was I thinking it would come with shoes . . .

Shoe rackbut no shoes

So now what?

I’m still settleing down after the wedding and honeymoon.

What a fab time - thanks to everyone who came or sent their wishes I certainly had a brilliant time. We had some of the photos back on friday and they do bring up a few questions.

It seems that more than one table had a bit of fun with the camera but i’m not sure if the winner is the fingermouse impressions or the partner swapping!!

ho hum, back to more boring things.

Panic Over

We had a little upset the other morning, I arose early to try to get into work and get a bit ahead of myself, as I wandered into the front room I noticed one of Delilah’s tubes was disconected - and she was no-where to be seen.

Now I know we have a small flat, but we have lot’s of stuff in it. She could have been hiding anywhere. Bits of furniture went flying, paperwok moved, i even found that chirstmas wrapping paper. I wandered around with a crisp packet - she normally comes out for this as she thinks it’s food, but to no avail.

I went off to work in a not too happy mood, only to received a delightful call from James 15 mins later - I’ve found her. Where? Behind the fridge, How? with a bit of cheese! (I thought that was mice)

So anyway she’s back in her cage and looks fine, although a little more nervous than before, but i’m sure she’ll get back to her normal self.
